Brand Identity
Mesh Art Gallery is an online art gallery based in Chicago, created to make collecting art feel welcoming, accessible, and personal. Dedicated to showcasing works on paper by independent artists, Mesh manages all the logistics so artists can focus on creating. They needed a full brand identity that reflected their commitment to artistic freedom, community, and connection—without looking like a traditional, stuffy art gallery.

I created a full brand suite including strategy, logo, brand marks, color palette, typography, and a custom brand pattern. The centerpiece of the brand is a fluid, abstract “M” mark made from morphing, connected blobs—a nod to the collaborative, ever-evolving nature of the art world and the relationships Mesh fosters between artists and collectors.
To avoid the stark black-and-white look of most galleries, I leaned into a muted, earthy palette of navy, olive green, and maroon. This gave the brand a more handmade, tactile feel that connects to the paper-based art they promote. I added halftone and brushstroke textures throughout the identity to reinforce the physicality of the work being showcased, while keeping the brand approachable and grounded.
The overall brand is clean and professional with just enough personality to feel human and handcrafted. It was designed to let the artwork take center stage, while still giving Mesh a recognizable visual identity. The result is a flexible, artist-first brand that’s confident, creative, and community-driven.
