The Pink Feather is a private backyard speakeasy—lovingly dubbed the “Gar Bar”—created by my close friends in their garage. It's a passion project, not open to the public, and known for its high-quality cocktails, cozy atmosphere, and attention to detail. They wanted a brand that matched the thoughtfulness of the space and the guest experience, while incorporating personal touches and inside jokes only their circle would understand.

I developed a full brand suite that included strategy, logo, custom illustrations, brand assets, color palette, typography, and print collateral like menus, coasters, matches, and an invitation card reminiscent of the Prohibition era. The name “The Pink Feather” came from the owner's fondness for flamingos—a quirky foundation I used to build a brand that’s part moody speakeasy, part tongue-in-cheek fun.
The mascot is an illustrated flamingo with a fedora and a wavy neck, balancing silliness with vintage sophistication. I leaned into bold, retro-inspired typography and created taglines like “Birds of a feather drink together.” The brand imagery features vintage party photos from the Prohibition era, layered with grungy halftone textures. The color palette combines salmon, olive, and deep forest green, with neutral tones of black and creamy white to ground the identity.
The result is a brand that feels elevated, intimate, and playful—just like the bar itself. It hits that sweet spot between polished and personal. My friends absolutely loved it and couldn’t wait to bring it to life across all their gatherings.
